Who offers a humanist wedding in Sweden?
Humanist weddings in Sweden are offered by the EHSN-partner Humanisterna  – Humanists Sweden.

It is easy! Just contact the celebrant you want and they will help you through the process and plan meetings to personalize your wedding after your needs. Do we get to choose the humanist wedding celebrant ourselves?
Yes. In Sweden, you get to choose your celebrant yourself. Check the list above. 

Price:
Humanisterna offers two prize categories and three options:

  1. A personal ceremony during which the celebrant talks about you as couple and your love story. Including a legal binding wedding. Price 7000 Swedish kroner (approx. 625 Euro)
  2. A legal binding wedding without a personal ceremony.  2000 Swedish koner (approx. 178 Euro).
  3. A celebration of love and personalized ceremony without the legal binding wedding. Price 7000 Swedish kroner (approx. 625 Euro)

In 2025, Humanists Sweden were acknowledged by the state to perform legally binding humanist weddings. Thereby, they joined the ranks of the other European humanist organizations who also have such an acknowledgement.

That means you can go to Sweden, get a Swedish humanist marriage certificate there and bring it back to your home country and get it recognized there. Read more here
