Mission statement
Humanistweddings.eu is a website established by the European Humanist Services Network (EHSN) with special assistance from Humanistische Verband Deutschlands and Human-Etisk Forbund.
All providers of humanist weddings on this website are partners of the EHSN, members of Humanists International, and have signed the European Humanist Wedding Standard that was negotiated among the EHSN-partners through 2024.
Humanism is a non-religious lifestance based on reason and compassion. Read more here.
We want to make humanist weddings in Europe available to everyone, regardless of where they live and where they want to marry.
The background is the ongoing secularization trend in Europe. More and more people describe themselves as non-religious.
Because of this, we expect an increased demand for humanist weddings.
This leaves the European humanist movement with an important task: Step up and make high quality humanist weddings available for everyone who wants them.
